The 2007-2008 Whitehouse Wildcat Boys Basketball Team is receiving plenty of recognition these days, and on a statewide basis.

The Wildcats were recently ranked as the #3 class AAAA team in the state this week by the TABC, which is the weekly pulse of the states high school basketball rankings.

The Cats are currently 19-1 on the season and 6-0 in district 12-AAAA.
Big wins for Whitehouse include Irving MacArthur, Longview, John Tyler, Dallas Skyline, San Antonio Alamo Heights, Midlothian, and Abilene Wylie.
WHS has now recorded 20 straight winning seasons, and Head Coach Wally Dawkins is one win away from #550 for his career.

The Cats have been paced by NCAA Division I recruits Kyle Ford, a 6'5 Sr. Guard. Cade Clark, 6'6 Sr. Forward, Mitch Marquis 5'11 Jr. Point Guard, and Jacob Holmen, a 6'8 Jr. Post.

These 5 players receive plenty of help from 6'7 Kody Molloy, 6'3 Tanner Fedell, as well as a host of talented guards in Blake Anglin, Bart Henderson, Seth Cashion, Brady Attaway, and Nick Kunzman.

The Wildcats, who finished 31-3 a year ago, have a playoff streak of 4 in a row, and 15 of Coach Dawkins 19 years as the WHS Head Mentor.
The Whitehouse Boys Basketball Team looks to honor the legend of the 1978 class AAA Boys Basketball State Champion Whitehouse Wildcat team led by Coach C.L. Nix with a trip to Austin of their own.
"Our goal is to be a state tournament team" Coach Dawkins notes. "It's on our practice jerseys, we talk about it a lot, and we are good enough. We just need some breaks to get the job done."
Apparently, many people across the state think the Wildcats are good enough also!
