Whitehouse coaching staff hosted another successful and well attended boys’ basketball camp this week.

The camp is geared to providing youth in kindergarten through ninth grade the fundamental skills of passing, shooting, dribbling and teamwork through individual instruction and a variety of drills.

According to Whitehouse High School Boys’ Basketball Coach Brent Kelley, 78 children participated in this year’s camp. “The kids worked extremely hard during this camp, and I am very proud of all of them,” Kelley said.

As the camp wrapped up, contest winners received awards and Coach Kelley encouraged campers to continue to work hard on their skills. “As I have told you many times during this camp, basketball is not a sometimes sport, it is something that you must continuously work on and continue to practice if you want to play it well,” Kelley said.

Kindergarten-third grade, layup contest: Luke Sonne
