About WISD

 The City of Whitehouse is located six miles south of Tyler in a beautiful piney woods area west of Lake Tyler in East Texas. The City of Whitehouse and Whitehouse ISD are located in Smith County. The county seat is located in Tyler. According to the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau report, the population of the City of Whitehouse is 7,845. The population of Smith County is approximately 210,000, ranking it among the top 25 in population of the 254 Texas Counties. There are approximately 4,600 students being educated in our district each day, ranging from early childhood to twelfth grade. We employ approximately 600 individuals which include 300 certified teachers.
